Scholarship Lottery – Ever heard of a lottery that gives away money to students?
For a student in some other countries, this may be new to their ears, but lottery-funded scholarships and lottery giving prizes to aspiring students is already a common thing in the US. One could be a beneficiary of a scholarship fund of a state lottery, or may opt to join the lottery where the winner could get a scholarship grant. Sounds cool, isn’t it? Don’t get these confused with student loans, because they are far from it!
A scholarship lottery is literally a lottery where applicants simply submit needed information and be part of a pool of candidates. True to being a lottery, winners are being chosen randomly.

Applicants should meet the age and residency requirements for the lottery. Usually, scholarship lotteries are open to students aged 17 years and above, US citizens and living in the United States.
To qualify, one should be a first time enrollee and an incoming freshman of an accredited two-year college, four-year college or trade school by the Department of Education. Information required to be submitted includes complete name and mailing address.
This is great since all you need is sheer luck to get money to pay for school.
There’s no harm in trying your luck. You might just win and the prize money could change your life for good — a college degree, a stable job, and a happy family life.

Perpetrators might pose themselves as representatives of the scholarship lottery and lure you to get valuable personal information such as driver’s license, passport number, social security number, and date of birth, bank accounts and credit card accounts.
Usually, anyone who requests money from you before you can receive a prize is probably not legitimate. This includes any mention of up-front taxes, fees or insurance.
Keep in mind the adage: “If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.” Scholarship lotteries may not be for everyone, but for those lucky few who happen to be in line to receive one, they can make all the difference in your education finances.
